Metafit is a body weight training system that includes 30 minutes of high intensity training, which is challenging for all ﬁtness levels.
How does Metafit benefit my body?
High intensity interval training (HIIT) such as Metaﬁt is an effective, time efﬁcient, functional whole body workout. Metaﬁt will increase your metabolism, burn fat, increase cardiovascular ﬁtness all while maintaining and increasing muscle mass.
What happens in a typical Metafit session?
In Metaﬁt we use a combination of strength, plyometric & form exercises together with incomplete periods of rest with changing rest/work intervals. The aim is to use maximum exertion during the work interval, regressing and/or progressing where necessary.
We work large muscle groups, creating a metabolic disturbance to deplete glycogen stores (i.e you use all the sugar stored in the liver and muscles), which causes the body to use stored fat as fuel!
Metaﬁt will raise your Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) for a minimum of 24 hrs, increasing your fat burning potential. Increasing RMR and preserving muscle is the most effective way to burn fat.
